Horse Powered Solutions provides corporate and personal development services with a twist!

We specialize in equine-assisted corporate development (EACD) workshops and equine-assisted personal development (EAPD) workshops. For us, “equine-assisted” means that horses and sometimes donkeys assist us in the facilitation aspect of our work; for you, “equine-assisted” means you get to play with four-legged friends in our workshops!

But why do we use equines in the first place? Click here to read our top ten reasons.

All of our workshops are based on experiential learning, which is what happens when you learn from personal experience rather than from being told what to learn (think back to your high school years for a good example of what’s NOT experiential learning!). It’s like this great old saying, for which sometimes Confucius and sometimes Kurt Hahn is credited: Tell me, and I will forget. Show me, and I may remember. Involve me, and I will understand. We don’t know who actually said it but we like it! Our goal is to involve you, the participant, in such a way that you learn a lot about yourself without even really trying.

Another of our key concepts is fun…we like it, the horses like it, and we’ve attended enough workshops ourselves to know that learning happens much better when you’re having it!

Equine-Assisted Corporate Development (EACD)

EACD workshops are a unique and highly motivating way to create new opportunities for growth within your corporate team. Unlike many traditional types of professional development which often talk about or try to artificially recreate scenarios of group dynamics, Horse Powered Solutions offers a customized experiential program designed to identify your group’s dynamics in action. Equine-Assisted Personal Development (EAPD)

EAPD workshops involve the deliberate creation of a space in which an individual can join a common group and experientially explore an element of his or her personal life. Common workshop themes include self-esteem and empowerment, single-parent families, anger management, and enhancing communication. Click here to learn more about EAPD workshops.
